Emerald Medical Centre Campbelltown  is a General Practitioner and Skin Cancer Clinic located in Campbelltown, Western Sydney.

 

Since opening in August 2014, Emerald Medical Centre Campbelltown offers primary, continual and homprehensive patient care to individuals, families, the community and aged care nursing homes of the surronding areas.

 

Our surgery is a modern, bulk billing and fully computerised practice, meaning complete convenience for our patients. With onsite pathology, audiology, dietitian, chiropractic, psychology, community services and Aboriginal Outreach services available for our patients needs.

 

With the convenience of being located near major shopping complexes, we also have parking facilites, street parking is available seven days a week. Located directly in front bus stops and minutes from Campbelltown Station train station, radiology, physiotherphy, dental, Council and Centrelink are all closely located.

 

Our practice and our General Practitioners, have achieved GPA Accreditation, meeting the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) standards, which is shown in our dedication to patient care.

Doctors

 

Dr Dara Chung

MBBS, FRACGP, Dip. Child Health

 

Dr Chung works full time at Emerald Medical Centre. He has a strong passion for patient care and all it has to offer. When he isn’t working he enjoys spending time with friends and family and travelling.

 

 

Dr Norman Phan

MBBS, FRACGP, Diploma of Underwater Medicine, Diploma Remote Rural Medicine, Early Management of Severe Trauma /Advance Trauma Life Support (EMST/ATLS), Aviation Medicine, Aeromedical Evacuation. Fixed Wing and Rotatory Wing. Dr Phan is in the process of completing a Masters in Tropical Medicine.

 

Dr Phan graduated from University of Sydney in 1996 (MBBS) under scholarship with the Australian Regular Army. He completed his junior residency years at Nepean. Blacktown and Tamworth Hospital. He was then posted with the Army to Darwin where he served as Regimental Medical Officer for the Army. He also worked in the Accidents and Emergency at Darwin Base Hospital with secondments to Katherine Hospital. Dr Phan completed his military career in 2003 with his last posting at 1st Health Services Support Battalion after working as Senior Medical Officer in Kapooka Medical Centre. Dr Phan completed his Fellowship to the Royal Australian College of General Practice (FRACGP) in 2002. Dr Phan has experience with working in remote and isolated regions around Australia. He has also worked in remote aboriginal settlements in outback Northern Territory and North Western, Western Australia. Dr Phan has completed futher post graduate training in Tropical Medicine, Trauma Medicine, Underwater Medicine and Aviation Medicine. DR Phan has been in Private Practice since leaving the Army and have worked in varies area around Sydney including the outer metropolitan.

Henry graduated with honor’s at Sydney University in 1997. He enjoy’s practising as a doctor. Henry finds his work very exciting, challenging and rewarding. He has a strong passion for patient care, pediatrics’, skin cancer medicine and office procedures. Other special interests include cardio vascular medicine and diabetic care and travel medicine. He live’s with his wife, Joanne and two beautiful daughters Alexandra and Elizabeth in Sydney, New South Wales. His social passion includes reading, playing tennis, swimming, spending time with family especially my two daughters.

Fees & Charges

All consultations performed in our medical practice by the doctors are bulk billed. For those without a valid Medicare Card, a cash payment is required:

  • Standard consult $60 ($70 After Hours)
  • Long consultation $90 ($100 After Hours)

Vaccines

  • Most childhood vaccination and influenza vaccines are provided free if you are eligible through Medicare. We will notify you if there is a fee for the vaccine.
  • There will be a fee for travel vaccinations, as these are not funded by Medicare.
Other Charges
  • For any service that is inadequately or not funded by Medicare, the doctor will advise you of the fee before the service is provided.

Referrals

  • Please see our doctors if you require a referral to see a specialist, psychologist, or other health care provider etc. As it can take time to fully understand your problem and also to write a detailed referral for you, please be considerate in allowing an adequate time for the doctor to see you before your planned specialist appointments.

Privacy Policy

  • Your medical record is a confidential document and your privacy is important to us. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times, and ensure this information is only available to authorised members of staff.

Pathology Policy

  • Pathology and test results will not be given out over the phone. This is because of patient confidentiality and also the need to often explain the results in person. You will kindly need to arrange an appointment with your doctor to discuss your results.
  • Some pathology tests can take longer to perform than others. Please consult your doctor as to when to return for review for results
  • We do recall patients with significant abnormal results, so please ensure your contact details are up to date.

Reminder System

  • Our practice is committed to preventative care. We will issue you with a reminder notice from time to time, offering you health services appropriate to your needs. This may come in the form of phone calls, SMS Text Message or a formal letter
